Protect emergency services from carcinogenic diesel exhaust fumes

Kappa protects emergency services from carcinogenic diesel exhaust fumes

Hectic, fast, intuitive action, numerous sources of danger, partnership and trust in the function of the equipment - everything has to go hand in hand, every action requires extreme precision and the whole thing against the clock, reality or fiction?

They are exposed to numerous health hazards, but some of them are calculable and can be eliminated. One of these hazards is diesel exhaust fumes from emergency vehicles in the fire station.

The reports on the dangers of diesel exhaust fumes continue unabated. As early as 1955, it was suspected that they could cause cancer and for many decades they have been legally classified as “carcinogenic”. Legislators even refer to them as “clearly carcinogenic”. In 2012, the WHO once again confirmed the hazard potential in a large-scale study involving 12,300 test subjects and found a 40 percent increased risk of lung cancer. Legislation has clearly regulated protection against diesel exhaust fumes: they must be captured directly at the source and discharged from the vehicle hall.

We have been dealing with the removal of diesel exhaust fumes from the vehicles of the emergency services for many years. With the diesel exhaust extraction KAPPA SAFE we have developed a system that ensures complete removal of diesel emissions from the fire station. The emissions are fully captured and discharged directly at the vehicle. The system works fully automatically: it recognizes when the vehicle starts and automatically uncouples at the exit gate when it leaves.
